Payment methods and saved cards

You pay with a credit card that you save to your account. Checkout accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners and UnionPay.

How saved cards work

Every booking is paid with a saved card. The first time you book, you add a card at checkout, and it stays saved for future trips.

You type your card details into a secure form run by our payment processor, Authorize.Net. Your card number never touches our servers, and we never store your full card number.

Add a card at checkout

  1. In the payment section, choose Add a Card. If you already have saved cards, choose New Card.
  2. Enter the card number, expiration date and security code in the secure form.
  3. Choose Save Card. Your new card is selected for this booking.
  4. Check the Billing Address that appears under the card. Use the address your card issuer has on file, and keep the city out of Street Address 1.
  5. Choose Complete Booking.

If you close the form without choosing Save Card, the card is not saved and can't be used.

Manage your cards

Open Payment Methods from your account menu. There you can:

  • add a new card
  • choose Set Default to pick the card checkout selects first
  • choose Edit to update the card details, such as a new expiration date
  • choose Edit details to change the name on the card and the billing address
  • delete a card you no longer use

You can also choose a different saved card, edit one or delete one on the checkout page.

When you are charged

Choosing Reserve Now on a room does not charge you. Your card is charged when you choose Complete Booking. The bottom of the checkout page shows the name that will appear on your card statement.

Taxes and fees that the hotel collects at check-in are listed separately at checkout. You pay those at the hotel.
